My name is Megan! I am a sophomore at Texas Tech studying Secondary Education- English Concentration, and an English Minor! I currently work at a pool, and am a swim coach, and lifeguard. I have a mini GoldenDoodle named Milo, I LOVE ANIMALS!!!! some of my hobbies consist of swimming, going on walks, and spending a majority of my time outside. I am born and raised from Houston, Tx. Though i miss the humid weather, and miles of tall buildings, I love my Lubbock people and the environment on campus (and of course the amazing dust storms:)) My hours also vary, but the hours provided are the hours guaranteed.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a swim instructor for 5 years now i teach a wide range of ages:) I have as well babysat/nannied for the past 6 years!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being outside! anything and everything outside has my name on it. I also love playing board games, or tag and even hide and seek! Anything the kids enjoy I enjoy;)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Hearing the child’s wants and needs!! Being a nanny is all about making the kids day light up when they see you, kids easily look up to people they see on a daily basis. Keeping a positive attitude, and cheerful energy is what makes a nanny a nanny!! On the other spectrum it is important to make sure that respect and kindness is being shared through both nanny and child(‘s)

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with High functioning special needs children while working as a swim instructor. However, with my degree I will be getting certified in Special Education as well. So as the months progress I get to learn more about Special Needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I taught one of the kids how to swim! He was extremely stubborn in the water but after a few tries we got him to float, jump in voluntarily, and even swim to the wall and swim to me !
