Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For a while I volunteered at my church, champions centre, where I would help watch children during service hours. I would interact with them, teach valuable lessons such as how important it is to be friendly, share, etc. as well as clean up and serve snacks while keeping the kids well behaved :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being in the outdoors. I think experiences such as lakes, childrens museums, zoos/ aquariums etc. are a good way for kids to learn and grow while still having fun. If you are uncomfortable with me driving your kids (which I completely understand, although i have a completely clean driving record:)) one of my favorite things to do is walk to the park and have a little picnic!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe it’s equally important to have a relationship with the kids I’m sitting and parents/ guardians. I understand that it can be nerve wracking to meet a new person as a child, and to trust a new person to care for your child correctly as a parent. Because of that I like to put the needs the child first and ensure parents are always updated throughout the day. My goal is not to just be a sitter or nanny, but to be a friend and someone to count on for your child:)
