In high-school and college I worked with children in a variety of settings including babysitting, part-time teaching in schools, museum events / playdates, and summer camp counseling. Post-grad I haven't been able to do this and am looking for something to fill some of my mornings/ evenings. I would love to speak with you to learn more about the position, your children, and answer any questions you might have!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I was a college athlete so I love being active in any capacity. I also am very big on intellectual stimulation whether it be tutoring, reading, or just playing board or card games. I mostly enjoy engaging and supporting them to enjoy whatever their passions may be.
My experience with special needs children...
In high school I worked special olympics for 3 years, but my most experience is with Autism. I competed in an academic competition where I focused on children with Autism and did in-depth research + hands-on experience in special ed classrooms. I've also had some summer campers who had Autism.
