I have over 15 years of professional childcare experience, specifically as a nanny for newborn through preschool ages (and up). I also have experience working with multiples and children with special needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy will always depend on the age and development level of each individual child I care for, however I do try my best to get outside (walks, yard, park, etc.) at least once every day and will also always provide a variety of age appropriate indoor activities including reading, floor time, music, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My goal as a nanny in your family’s home is to be extension of the parent(s) and care for your child(ren) as if they were my own. I will also be a support system for your entire family (including parents and siblings) in order to help make life run as smooth as possible. I try everything I can to give parents more free time at home with their little ones (instead of them worrying about a sink of dirty dishes, a messy house, or piles of laundry to do).
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for and working with special needs children, including: autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, severe food allergies, premature infants, and more... I have extensive experience caring for siblings and multiples/twins, as well as experience caring for infants in a nanny share situation.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve had so many favorite “nanny moments” through the years, so it’s impossible to choose just one. I will say my favorite part about being a nanny is when I get to work each day and am greeted with big smiles, hugs, laughter, and love from the little faces I care so much about!
