Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really enjoy taking long nature strolls with my kids. It's my favorite time to hear all about them, their day, using our imaginations to plan for world dominance, really.
Art projects, getting them involved in life skills, it depends on each child's personality!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Adaptability and flexibility.
Kids are unpredictable, life is unpredictable. Expect the unexpected when you put a potty training toddler in the tub before they've used the bathroom.
Honesty.
Be real about what you bring to the table and the skills that you do not have yet. Asking for help is much better than having to answer for unmet needs of a child.

My experience with special needs children...
As a former Behavioral Health Specialist at Father Baker’s, I’m highly experienced in crisis intervention and supporting teens with complex mental health needs and those on the Autism Spectrum. I’ve also worked one-on-one with a child with physical disabilities and am very comfortable supporting special needs families when the fit is right.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite 'moment' is actually the last several years combined. Since 2018, I’ve been more than a nanny—I’ve become a part of a family. Helping raise two babies into such humble and intelligent young adults has been the honor of a lifetime. The bond we all share is so special, but seeing our hard work pay off in the people those kids have become is the most rewarding part of it all.
