I have worked in a daycare for about 6 months. On top of that I have held watch and babysit my younger nieces and nephews.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do fine motor and gross motor skills. Such as putting stickers on a sheet of paper, or playing outside with them. I also enjoy teaching then simple ASL words to help communication. Like: more, please, sorry, all done, water, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Communication and relationships. I would love to have a family that is great at communication! If there is anything bothering them, that I do, I would want to know right away. Same goes for me. If there is anything that doesn't sit right with me then I want to be able to let them know! On top of that having a good relationship with not only then kids but also the parents is very important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have much experience with special needs children. if you are looking for someone who is great with special needs then, due to lack of experience, i would not be the best fit!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have not worked as a nanny yet. However, my favorite daycare experience is simply watching the kiddos learn new things and then seeing them use it!
