The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where a child can grow and feel supported. Kids learn and develop best when they feel secure, understood, and cared for. As a nanny, you’re not just watching them you’re shaping their daily experiences, encouraging their milestones, and becoming someone they trust. It’s about patience, communication, and being fully present. Every moment, from playtime to routines, is a chance to teach, guide, and make their world feel stable and happy.
My experience with special needs children...
Growing up as the oldest, I had the privilege of helping care for my two youngest brothers, both of whom have unique needs. One is nonverbal and requires hands-on assistance in many areas of daily life, and my other brother was born blind. Supporting them taught me patience, creativity, and how to truly connect beyond words.
Their challenges became my lessons. I learned how to help them not just get through the day, but grow, learn, and experience life in their own ways. Those experiences shaped me into someone who is adaptable, compassionate, and confident working with children who need extra support.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment happened with a little girl I cared for who struggled with confidence while learning to read. Every night we would sit together and practice just a few pages. One day, completely out of the blue, she ran up to me with her book, sat down, and read an entire page by herself. When she finished, she looked up at me with the biggest smile and said, “I did it!” Seeing her pride and knowing I helped her build that confidence was one of the most rewarding moments I’ve ever had. It reminded me why I love working with children watching them grow, supporting them, and celebrating those little victories that mean so much.
