I cared for my aunts children when they were little. My aunt had 3 children, the oldest was 5 when I started babysitting, and the other two were born along the way and I cared for both of them until the ages of 3 and 4.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy drawing and painting with children. I like playing games and learning new skills with children. I enjoy coming up with creative ways for the kids to learn something new while still having fun. I enjoy making the kids laugh whichever way I can. Their laughter just makes my heart happy :)
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important things about babysitting are trust, safety, and security. The kids need to feel safe and comfortable in their environment, and parents need to feel like they can trust the people they left with their kids, and that their children are being well taken care of.
My experience with special needs children...
One of my uncles children is special needs. I took care of him when he was 8 years old. I changed his diaper, fed him, and played with all his favorite toys.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment was a few years ago, when the kids wanted to do something creative, so I bought plain white shoes for all of us, and we painted them together. Watching the kids think out of the box and create something different than what they’re used to was one of my favorite moments.
