Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities include playing games, helping with nap time, reading and watching children read, taking them to the library, taking kids to the play gallery or different places to explore. At home, I love having a movie time, doing anything hands-on, and anything you strongly encourage your children to do. I am very flexible and enjoy many activities that foster growth and regulation for children.

With regards to outdoor activities, I absolutely love taking children to the park, beach, playing any sports with them, chalk, helping walk the dog (if applicable.) In spring and summer, I love spending the day outside. In past times that I have been a nanny, I have been responsible in getting children to swim practice, horse camp, baseball and other activities. I am a huge lover of the outdoors and using as little screens, as possible. But, obviously this is up to your family's discretion.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Ultimately, being a nanny is a huge responsibility. Making sure that the kids are taken care of and safe is the most important thing. Then, once this foundation is laid, nannying becomes about helping kids manage bigger feelings, having a clear and direct partnership with the family, and planning developmentally appropriate activities that will peak the child's interest.

As stated previously, my past nanny family is considered family. My skills include being trustworthy, dedicated and reliable.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been a general education teacher for three years, following my undergrad. I have had many students in my class who required special education services. For example, I have experience working with kids with developmental delay, adhd, anxiety, and Autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I vividly remember taking the little boy and girl I previously nannied to the park one day. He was only 6 months or so, and she was 3 years old. We were pushing her little brother on the swing and the two of them were just nonstop laughing. This moment just captured my why, as a nanny. To help find happiness in the simple moments and the two of them were enjoying each others presence.
