Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I will admit that I don’t have any of the certification papers, but I will also admit that I can care for special needs children so those with health issues and those with other form of disability like bipolar, ADHD, autism, I can even help those with learning to read because I have taught Kids how to read in easy and fun ways. Most of my experiences comes from volunteer work as I babysit for the kids around my neighborhood. I also know how to tend to children’s wounds and I’m also informative to their parents if they had done something that is bad or said something is bad and when they get hurt, I keep the parents in the loop.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I greatly enjoy playing outside with the children’s. I will draw outside with them draw with chalk or pencil and paper. I’ll even play basketball to the ball round each other. Simple outdoor activities that will not get the children hurt. As for indoor activities, I’ll tea parties and dolls with the girls and play what ever the boys want as they aren’t very specific, i’ll even play video games with the kids with the time limit of course don’t need them getting addicted to the screen. I let the kids do what they want together in a group or separate, so long as they ask for permission, let me know and don’t go against the rules.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s being highly informative when they are curious, not to withhold the information, unless it’s something the parents have to teach the children. I feel it’s to make all the children feel like they are being heard and understood and not having favoritism go on in the group if it more than one child, and to be extremely understanding of the children.
My experience with special needs children...
I help a kid with bipolar mediate himself, and learn how to control when he having his outburst of personality on the bad side of the bipolar disorder. He came from a very highly aggressive boy who attacked his teachers and other children to someone who will take a moment to breathe and become more patient. I helped a kid with heart issues how to read his body when he was overexerting himself and when he needs to take a break that way he didn’t burn through his medication by over doing it he was being careful and he became a happier kid by doing so, And I helped autistic kids becomes more comfortable with their environment and keep routine for them so they don’t get frustrated easily and coping mechanism when they start to have their outburst and I help kids with ADHD centers their focus by keeping them engaged and having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I remember this moment when I came up with a gameplay style that I call ground volleyball and when I taught all four kids in the last family I babysat for how to play it they had so much fun and always wanted to play it whenever we played outside at least once, they team up against against me trying to win and more often that I won and I let them win sometimes, all the kids play together in a fun and engaging way where they won’t get angry. Have a fun bonding moment. I love the moments.
