More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of hands-on experience caring for children in various settings, both professionally and personally. As a nanny, I've worked with children of all ages, from newborns to school-age kids, providing everything from basic care and feeding to engaging in creative activities and assisting with homework. My responsibilities have included creating structured routines, managing schedules, preparing meals, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times. Additionally, as a mother myself, I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and emotional support, and I apply these principles both in my professional work and with my own child.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love encouraging creativity through activities like drawing, painting, and making simple crafts. It’s a great way for children to express themselves and develop fine motor skills. Whether it’s playing at the park, going on nature walks, or organizing a scavenger hunt, outdoor activities help children burn off energy and develop physical coordination. I enjoy reading books with children and discussing the stories, which helps build their vocabulary, comprehension, and a love for reading.Simple board games, puzzles, and memory games are always a hit. They promote cognitive development and help children develop problem-solving and social skills. These activities help children learn, grow, and have fun, while also creating lasting memories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their family. As a nanny, you're not just providing care, but also offering emotional support, guidance, and companionship. Establishing trust helps the child feel safe and secure, knowing they can rely on you for consistency and comfort. Equally, fostering open communication with the parents ensures you align with their values and expectations, creating a harmonious caregiving environment. Being a nanny also requires patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the ever-changing needs of children, while helping them learn and grow in a supportive, loving atmosphere. Ultimately, it's about making a positive, lasting impact in the lives of the children you care for.

My experience with special needs children...

Unfortunately, I do not have experience with special needs children. I wouldn't take on the role without proper knowledge and accommodations and I have so much respect for those who have.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A memorable nanny moment for me was when a child I cared for finally overcame their fear of the dark. We spent weeks working through it, with gentle reassurance and bedtime stories. One night, as I tucked them in, they confidently said, "I’m not scared anymore, I can sleep without the nightlight." It felt like such a rewarding moment, knowing that I had helped them build the confidence to face their fears. It was a small, but meaningful victory that I'll never forget.
