Activities I enjoy doing with children...
With the littles one I like to take them on walks and adventure out. Parks seem to be a big hit and using chalk to draw on the sidewalk as well. Ive taught kids to be independent by achieving everyday task on their own. Finger painting with the little ones is a fun way to let loose and see what they achieve.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to try new things, conforming to the kids ability, to make them feel comfortable and be able to teach everyday skills they will need throughout their life time. Comforting them when they are down or need someone to talk to. Making a bond with the kids to take them out of their comfort zone and see them grow is heartwarming feeling.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have much experience but my cousin is special needs, in many cases you have to be very meticulous in caring for one and distributing medicine for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most memorable one was overtime I was watching and helping a little girl she became comfortable with me. One time she was nonstop crying and did not want anyone to touch her or talk to her. Once I began walking over to her she wanted me to comfort her so I carried her to a chair began talking to her she was still crying. I pulled out a unicorn and gave her kisses with it, she began calming down and as she was I wiped her tears. She was back to her outgoing self with a little bit of spunk. I was glad she trusted me and got her back to herself. At that moment I knew I had the ability for this job.
