A little bit about me

I have a masters degree in early childhood education, and have worked as a teacher for the past 25+ years. I am an EHS teacher in Flint, working with children with disabilities. I love working with children, helping them to be successful, and being there for the families to support them too, in what I feel is the best and hardest job I’ve ever had. I have two grown sons, who I raised mostly on my own after my divorce. My primary focus, when working with children is on their social-emotional skills. I want them to be able to regulate their emotions and behaviors, and to know that they are valued, to have confidence in themselves, and to work cooperatively in social situations. I am looking for a family that I can work with and support. I have worked in schools for 25 years now and I would like to be able to give my all to a family, and utilize my time to focus on the children instead of all of the paperwork that comes with working for a corporation or a government funded school.
