Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have done nanny work back in Colorado for a number of years. I have also volunteered in the children rooms at church, as well as numerous hours of volunteer work in my sons special needs classroom. In addition, I have raised 4 of my own children, and have helped care for nieces and nephews.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy spending time outdoors as I feel there is so much to explore and learn. Going to the park, swimming, and short hikes, to name a few outdoor activities. I also enjoy coloring, puzzles and imaginative play. I am open to just about anything!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is providing love, support, and protection, just as I would for my own children. When parents are working, their child needs to feel safe and happy, and deserves all the love and nurturing they would be receiving from their parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I have plenty of experience with special needs children. My son and youngest daughter both have Fragile X Syndrome- a cognitive disorder, similar to autism. Three of my nephews also have Fragile X Syndrome. I have a great niece who has Cerebral Palsy along with multiple other conditions. In addition, I have volunteered numerous hours in my son’s classrooms over the years.
