I have extensive experience working with children through both professional roles and family care. While working as a pool attendant at Grey Oaks Country Club, I regularly interacted with children, helping them choose pool toys, retrieving toys from the water, and ensuring they were safe and having fun. I’ve also helped care for my older cousin’s two children, both under the age of 10, since they were born. During our annual family vacations to the Florida Keys, I serve as their full-time babysitter, planning activities, supervising them, and handling daily routines. More recently, I’ve been caring for another cousin’s newborn, watching her during the day while her parents work. These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in patience, responsibility, and communication. The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children feel cared for, supported, and understood. It’s not just about supervising them — it’s about building trust, forming meaningful connections, and helping them grow through patience, kindness, and consistency. A great nanny is someone who can balance responsibility with warmth, who respects the family’s routines and values, and who genuinely enjoys being part of a child’s day-to-day life. Helping children feel happy, safe, and confident is always at the heart of what I do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was during a family vacation in the Keys while watching my cousins. We spent the whole afternoon swimming, collecting shells, and building sandcastles together. At one point, they decided we should “open a seashell shop” on the beach, so we spent hours organizing our little collection and pretending we were running a store for passing beachgoers. Seeing how proud and excited they were over something so simple reminded me how meaningful it is to share those small, imaginative moments with kids. It’s those kinds of memories that make caring for children so special to me.
