More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience where I have cared for children includes working as a swim instructor at a local swim school, where I taught water safety and basic swim skills to children. I have also worked as an after-school tutor supporting elementary-aged students with homework and academic enrichment, as well as an online ESL tutor helping children build English language skills. In addition, I have ongoing babysitting experience providing safe, engaging, and attentive care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy spending time with children in ways that are fun, active, and engaging. One of my favorite things to do is teach swim skills and water safety in a patient, encouraging way that helps kids feel confident in the water.

I also love reading with children and bringing stories to life through conversation and imagination. I enjoy activities like arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, and simple hands-on activities that help spark curiosity and critical thinking while still feeling playful and age-appropriate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me as a childcare provider is being a positive, supportive presence in a child’s life. I really enjoy helping children reach their milestones, whether that’s learning new words, building confidence in the water, or developing everyday skills that help them feel more independent and secure.

I especially value knowing that a child leaves my care feeling safe, encouraged, and a little more confident than before. I also deeply appreciate supporting parents and understanding how much trust it takes to welcome someone into your child’s life. As the youngest of six, I’ve seen firsthand how much care, energy, and love it takes to raise children, and I truly view parents as superheroes.

At the heart of it, I want to be someone who brings patience, consistency, and warmth to a family’s routine, while helping children grow through both learning and play.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience working with children with special needs comes primarily from my time as a swim instructor. In that role, I supported nonverbal autistic children in the water, focusing on helping them feel safe, comfortable, and confident through foundational skills such as floating and water acclimation in a patient and supportive environment.

I also worked with a child on the autism spectrum who benefited from additional behavioral support, which helped me strengthen my ability to remain calm, consistent, and adaptable while responding to their needs during lessons.

Overall, this experience has helped me develop patience, awareness, and flexibility in my approach to caregiving and supporting children with a range of needs.
