Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going on outings. We'd walk around your neighborhood, & maybe stop by a coffee shop. We'd go to toddler classes to participate in group play & make friends, spend time at a park, or go to the zoo.
I love to read. Lifelong readers are more culturally aware, & that skill begins before an infant even speaks. I could read your child classics for ages; we'd pick out picture books all day long. We'd go to the library to find new stories too!
My dream is to pursue a life as a singer-songwriter. Song is so important for development; I'd love to sing to & with your child & listen to music together (I love introducing children to oldies like The Beatles, Elton John, or even showtunes). I’ve even been known to play guitar around infants who go on to strum them correctly just by watching me!
I love art as well. We'll draw with chalk, open the Play-Doh, or unearth the coloring books. Art helps kids make choices, observe the world & recreate it, & practice letter & number recognition.

The most important part about being a nanny...
It's an honor to be present for the formative years of a child’s life. Even in the unnoticed moments, it matters who smiles at them, teaches them their parents’ names, shows them the world, & sings them to sleep. There's so much in our lives, as small as the bounds of the home and as vast as the world at large, to learn about, participate in, & enjoy, and I love watching children find that wonder as they grow.
What matters most to me is the relationship I get to cultivate with children. My job is not a checklist or an assembly line; it's to spend time with a human being. No matter your child’s age or journey, they have personality traits, feelings, interests & potential, & it’s important that the people in their life encourage those things. I want to establish a connection with your child that builds trust so they can fully express themselves around me & grow to their fullest potential. I want to spend time with them that forms memories, & impress upon them the wonder in our world.

My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children is limited to a few babysitting instances during my time with Southern Sitters, between March and September 2025. I love children with special needs but do not have any formal training with them.
Two of the three children I currently nanny do have ADHD, so I am very comfortable managing that!

The most important part about being a nanny...
I keep a "quote book" on my phone of some of my favorite things my nanny kids have said to me. Here are some of the highlights!
Nanny Kid (NK): "I wanna be a doctor"
Mia: "You have to go to even more school to be a doctor: college and med school."
NK: "That means I'm actually gonna be a horse."
NK: "Let's name places actually."
Mia: "Ok, Finland."
NK: "Finland the third."
Mia: "That's not a place!"
NK: "Oh, I thought it was. Maybe in the 80's or something."
NK: "We're here at KFC theaters!"
NK: "What's that one, the orange guys?"
Mia: "Jersey Boys!"
NK: "Oh I don't like them actually, they look handsome."
NK: "His name is Eight, and he's a fashion designer, and he likes eating broth!"
