With over 10 years of experience in childcare, I feel I have gained excellent experience caring for children of all ages. I am a kind and loving human being looking to help build up kind and loving human beings. I am currently a Registered Behavior Technician for children with autism, ages 15months to 10 years old. I have done this for almost 5 years. During this time I have also worked as an after-school nanny for another family. I love children and getting to teach them new things and watch them grow into amazing little people. I am looking to become a full-time nanny, Monday-Friday, and occasional weekends. I am responsible, reliable and I care for our little generations. I am young and active and love being creative. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Growing up, my mom had a daycare out of our home so I have always been around children. I also have 10 nieces and nephews that I have helped care for. Professionally, I was a preschool teacher for nearly 3 years and I have been a RBT for nearly 5 years. I have been an after-school nanny for a family for the past 5 years as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a creative person and love doing arts and crafts that also apply learning new skills. I am not someone who is big into electronics so I would prefer to be hands on and outdoors as much as possible. I adjust to all ages but most importantly I am engaged and dedicated to giving your children the love and attention they deserve and need to create a safe and happy environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is respecting the parents and keeping the children happy, safe and healthy. Although I've cared for children for 10+ years, each and every child is different and requires different wants and needs. I want to ensure everyone is on the same page because consistency is important when it comes to raising Littles and it takes the entire village being on the same page for that to work.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked as an RBT for the past 5 years working with children who have dual-diagnoses including autism, down syndrome, Rhett syndrome, triple x syndrome, ADHD and others. I did a year of vocational at SELF school in Valpo as well when I was in highschool. I am currently in school for Speech Language Pathology and Behavior Analysis.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are building relationships with the families and becoming a part of the families. I love watching the kids hit different milestones and knowing that I helped facilitate that. There's something so special about knowing you've made a difference in their lives for the good. My favorite quote is "in a world where you can do anything, be kind," and if I can teach them to be kind to others, I've taught them the golden rule.
