More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For the past five years, I have dedicated myself to caring for a wonderful family with four children. When I started, the kids were 9-month-old twins, a 2-year-old, and a 4-year-old. Today, they are 6, 8, and almost 10. I care for them 45 hours a week, driving them to and from school, taking them to activities, helping with homework, playing with them, and putting them to bed.
I have become deeply bonded with the kids, loving them like family. My role includes supporting their academic growth, engaging them in fun and enriching activities, and ensuring they feel secure and loved at bedtime. Being a part of their lives and watching them grow has been incredibly fulfilling.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to engage the children in a variety of fun and enriching activities. We often go swimming. Craft time is a favorite, allowing them to express their creativity through painting, drawing, and making handmade projects.
Hiking provides a chance to explore nature and learn about the environment, while visits to museums offer exciting and educational experiences in history, science, and art. Make-believe games let our imaginations run wild as we create stories and act out different roles.
We also enjoy baking together, turning the kitchen into a fun and tasty learning experience. Board games and puzzles help with their cognitive development while providing hours of entertainment. Reading together fosters a love for books and enhances their language skills, and gardening teaches them about plants as they take pride in watching their flowers and vegetables grow.
Through these activities, I ensure the children have a balanced and joyful upbringing, filled with learning and laughter.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is fostering mutual respect, not just with the parents but also with the children. Strong communication is fundamental; everything should be shared openly, and there should be no secrets. It's crucial to distinguish surprises, which can be delightful and planned together, from secrets, which erode trust.
Above all, maintaining a sense of fun is essential. Whether we're building forts, exploring new activities, or engaging in imaginative play, I prioritize creating an environment where laughter and enjoyment flourish. This approach not only strengthens our bond but also nurtures the children's sense of security and happiness.

My experience with special needs children...
In my time as a caregiver, I had the privilege of spending time with a special needs child named Blue. Caring for Blue required a high level of adaptability and attentiveness to meet his unique needs effectively. This experience deepened my understanding and patience, as I tailored my approach to ensure he felt supported and included.I focused on clear and consistent communication, using visual aids and other tools to help him understand daily routines and activities. This approach helped create a structured and predictable environment, which was crucial for his sense of security and well-being.My attentiveness extended to observing Blue's non-verbal cues and responses, allowing me to anticipate his needs and preferences even when he couldn’t express them directly. This sensitivity helped me to provide a nurturing and responsive caregiving environment.
Working with Blue has been incredibly rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened during a rainy afternoon when we were all stuck inside. The kids were feeling restless and bored, so I decided to turn our living room into a magical adventure zone. We gathered blankets, pillows, and furniture to build a massive fort. The excitement on their faces as we transformed the space was priceless. The highlight of the day was when their parent came home just as we were taking down the fort to leave them with a clean house. The kids, filled with excitement, insisted we put it right back up so they could sleep in it for the night. Seeing their parent's delight and the kids' enthusiasm made the moment even more special. We still talk about that day.
This experience reminded me why I love being a nanny. It's the joy of creating magical moments, fostering creativity, and witnessing the children's growth and connection. This rainy day adventure will always hold a special place in my heart.
