The most important thing of being a nanny is that you are an influence on a child. So I'm always positive, loving, caring, understanding and most of all comforting person. Children feeds off your emotions so you have to make sure that it's always a wonderful emotion.
My experience with special needs children...
I learn how the child is and comfort them in the way that I think that they will like. Talk very gently and soft to them always smile and be silly with them so they can see its a happy place.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day I was leaving to go home and my little munchkin said wait don't go so I said ok why so she said because we didn't do our hug game and that was the sweetest thing ever. I always gave her a big hug and sing huggie, huggie see you later before I leave so I didn't do it that day and she reminded me of it. Was the sweetest thing ever.
