My name is Michelle Brown, I have over 20 years of experience in caring for my own child with Cerebral Palsy as well 5 years of experience caring for infants-2 years of age over night for parents working graveyard shifts. I am a CNA and HHA with current CPR/AED certification. I have my own insured transportation and license with chauffer and motorcycle endorsements to verify my flexibility with business needs. I will pass any background and drug screenings; I have plenty of references and available to start February 15. The only day I'm unavailable is on Sundays being so I'm teaching my son how to create generational wealth and we set up a booth at the Houston flea market promoting our own business. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked this past 1 and 1/2 years with 4 Children for 2 families graveyard shift. I have recently received my HHA Certification and current CPR/AED Certified as well. I raised a 23-year-old with Cerebral Palsy as well as have a chauffeur endorsement on my license.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Painting, drawing, Art, anything educational that we can make fun. Walking, amusement parks, libraries, Cartoon movies and kid friendly outings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Sticking to the parent's schedules, being on time with whatever you signed up to do, be present in everything you do, protect the family as you would your own and keep all family information confidential at all times. Document everything to share with parents so you don't forget anything "If it's not documented it didn't happen." Be sure you a safe space at all times.

My experience with special needs children...

23 Years. My son was born at 7 months old and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
He is now 23 years old living independently and recently purchased a new car. To this day my son will tell anyone, my mom has never told me I couldn't do or accomplish anything! I love that children are unique in their own way and team work makes the dream work.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Watching my 10 month old little lady take her 1st steps and recording it for her mommy! The Best moment Ever! Oh, and a 7-year-old I took care of made me a card saying I was the Best Nanny ever because we play basketball, and he taught me how to drive on his video game. He said I ROCK! :-) I'll take it. I also have a family ready to move from FL to TX being so she doesn't want to leave her girls with anyone else and she doesn't know anyone there she is willing to trust. Kids are our future and whatever they love to do is their future and I just make whatever that is fun or teach fun educational things they will love but learn at the same time.
