A little bit about me

Since I was a young girl, I enjoyed working with children! Now as an adult, I continue to enjoy working with children. Over the course of eight years, I have cared for children of varying ages including newborn, toddlers, preschoolers, elementary aged children, pre-teens. Over the course of time when I have provided childcare to families, I have fond memories from each of these families. While caring for children, I believe I need to not only care for them in the absence of their parents, but also educate them at whatever level. Through play activities, these children are able to learn and grow physically, educationally, socially and emotionally. I treat each child as an individual and as if they are a part of my own family. As a childcare provider, each child's personal health and safety is of importance to me. My goal as a Nanny is to have the children's best interest in mind, make sure the children are safe and having fun while also learning.

Growing Garden Preschool (Infant Center, Ages 3 Months–2 Years)
As an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Center , I supported the developmental, emotional, and physical growth. Nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment aligned with early childhood education standards.

My responsibilities included:
Managing diaper changes, bottle feeding, solid-food introduction, soothing techniques, nap transitions, and maintaining individualized schedules for each child.
Observing and documenting progress in fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, and early language development. This included tummy time, supported sitting, crawling, cruising, first steps, early vocabulary, and sensory responses.
Leading sensory play, art experiences, outdoor exploration, music/movement activities, story time, and early cognitive exploration tailored to each developmental stage.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy creating calm, engaging routines for babies that help them feel safe while learning new skills. With infants, I focus a lot on bonding, sensory exploration, gentle movement, and early developmental play. I love doing tummy time in fun ways, helping them practice rolling, sitting, and crawling, and giving them plenty of floor time to explore. I enjoy simple sensory activities like soft textures, water play, crinkle toys, and age-appropriate rattles. I also love reading board books, singing songs, and using simple gestures or sign language to support early communication.

Music time, gentle stretches, peek-a-boo, and mirror play are activities I enjoy daily because they support connection and early social skills. I also like setting up safe little play setups with teething toys, stacking cups, and cause-and-effect toys. Overall, I love giving babies experiences that help them feel loved, curious, and confident as they grow.
