More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as an assistant teacher for infants through pre-K at The Gardner School. The foundation of my childcare journey was a Montessori school where I learned many foundational skills and saw how capable young children are.
I also worked at summer camps with girls ages 9-13. In 2021 I worked at Camp Merri-Mac, a premiere camp focusing on building character through hands-on learning.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love encouraging creativity and exploration through arts and crafts, being out in nature, and collaborative storytelling. It brings me so much joy to see children fully engaging in the world around them through different outlets!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe that it is crucial to remember how precious and fleeting childhood is. An ordinary day for me may hold important memories for the child. I know I still dearly remember some of the ordinary days: going to a new park, playing in the mud after a storm, helping in the kitchen, etc. Being a nanny means that I am entrusted to participate in these ordinary days. It is an honor to watch a child grow more into themselves in these everyday experiences, and I do not take that lightly.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have much experience with special needs children in a professional setting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I was a camp counselor, my girls decided they wanted Christmas in July, so we spent three days making garland, a fireplace, snowflakes- anything remotely festive- all out of colored paper and markers. We sang Christmas carols and made drawings as gifts, it was magical. It was a wonderful time to grow closer as a cabin and something I will always remember fondly.

My name is Miriam. I have 17 years of babysitting/nannying experience. I have a bachelors degree in psychology. I have worked with children and adults (0-107 years old!) of all ages with all different care needs. My professional background and career has been built around caring for others. I’ve worked in psychiatric and Medicare facilities. I have an 11 month old daughter and I’m looking to care for your children out of my home or in home with her. She’s a friendly, social butterfly ready to make friends with anyone! My ideal job would be a family with 1-2 kids that would be at an age where a day of nannying would feel like a play date for your kids. I have 6 years of experience in recreation therapy and I’m ready to plan crafts, outings and games on a daily basis. I’m looking for 2-8 hours a day on a part-time basis.

Hi there! My name is Lily and I am a senior nursing student available for nannying this summer. I have 10+ years of childcare experience as well as specialized training in pediatric oncology/ER nursing. I am CPR/first-aid certified. I've worked with all ages but, for the little ones, I'm a big advocate for sensory play (mostly crafts or being outside). Whatever age, I am intentional to keep your kids off-screen as much as possible. Thanks for reading a bit about me –– I'd love to get to know you and hear some of the values you're looking for in a nanny. Please feel free to connect.
