A little bit about me

Hi! I have been working with kids since I was 13. After HS graduation, I was a live in nanny in Virginia, Chicago, & Indiana. I was an asst. teacher in Mississippi for 2nd & 3rd grade reg and special ed. for 4 yrs. After that, i taught preschool for 2-5 yr olds, (each age group in different rooms. Preschool was ages 2-5.) I was there 4 yrs. I was also a part time respite provider for special needs children. My hobbies include: drawing, (looking into turning it into a business,) walks, crafts. I’m very creative & think outside the box. I believe play can be messy. My sign on my classroom door when I was teaching two year olds read, “Excuse the mess, we are LEARNING in here!” believe when a child asks a question, instead of answering it, I research with them, by googling, videos, pictures, etc. I like to go on scavenger hunts with kids , jump in puddles; but. Also appreciate the need for down time. I’m looking forward to speaking with you!
