I think the most important part is consistency between parents and nanny. This means communication must be strong and shared respectfully between each other. The ultimate goal is the well being of the child and the growth of that child through the relationship formed with the child and the family. Mutual trust is also important for the success of a nanny and family relationship.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience working with children with autism and selective mutism. I also have experience with children who are just learning English. I know a bit of sign language to help children who can’t communicate to have a way of feeling understood.
