A little bit about me

I am a 21 year old college student studying developmental psychology at BYU. I am looking for a full-time summer nannying position. I love working with kids and have held jobs as a babysitter, nanny, summer camp councilor, tutor, kindergarten student teacher, and Disney Princess for children’s Birthday parties.
I have been working paid babysitting gigs since I was 12, took my first part-time summer nannying job when I was 14, and became a full-time nanny at age 17. I also worked as a full time nanny this last winter during a gap semester.
I experience with kids of all ages, as well as sibling sets. My favorite age range is 18 months - 4 years because I love helping kids accelerate their progress in areas like counting and basics of reading. But I love kids of all ages.
I consider myself responsible and dependable. I also have a car.
I am not currently CPR certified, but I have been in the past and would be happy to re-certify (or have my bf give me a refresher course: he's an EMT)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing crafts and other creative activities with kiddos. I also love playing outside and doing teaching activities that help them learn developmentally appropriate skills like their numbers or the alphabet. I also love being outdoors, so parks were a regular stop for me with the kiddos I nannied in the past.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is treating kids with kindness, respect, and patience. It is important to teach them that they are capable and valuable human beings. It is also important to allow them to make mistakes in a safe environment where those mistakes can become learning experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The first time the almost 2-year old I nannied in 2023 said my name and that she loved me my heart melted. Honestly, the hardest part of the job for me is letting go of the kids I've worked with when I need to return to college.
