I am currently a part time preschool teacher. I used to be full time but, I started taking my college classes in September and I had to cut my hours drastically. I love the job I have now. I don’t plan to quit my current job, I am looking for a second job, with late evening shifts. I hope I can be the perfect fit for you and your family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to get creative with kids, crafts are a big part of that. I use Pinterest to help with ideas and inspiration. When it is warm outside, I love to get the kids outside, go on walks, play hide and seek, play catch, etc...
When the weather is unfit for outdoor play, I love to teach kids how to bake in a fun and safe manner. I am also a huge fan of music! We can play Disney songs and and other family friendly songs. If you are a Christian, I know plenty of Christian songs for kids that you’d love as well. With all the music, I love to host a mini dance party! I also love dress up parties! I’m a big fan of movies, so if it’s ever necessary, I can host a movie night with popcorn and/or other snacks!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have not had experience being a nanny but I am a preschool teacher and I used to be a daycare teacher, so what I have noticed is that having a trusting relationship with the family and kids is really important. Communication is everything. Whenever I am unsure of something, I make sure a have contact with the parents/guardians at all times.
I also know that problems with kids are less apt to happen when I am playing with the kids, and constantly investing to get to know them. I want the kids to trust me too! I also highly recommend setting clear, strong boundaries at the beginning. It causes much less confusion and complications with parents/guardians.
