I was a Special Education Teacher in a public school for 4 years. I have been nannying full time for the past 3 years, but have been providing child care on a part time basis for the past 15. I also have my own tutoring business through which I work primarily with students who struggle to read.

I was a Special Education teacher for 4 years, during which I worked with children with Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Emotional/Behavioral disabilities, and other health disabilities. In addition, for one year, I nannied a child who was on the Autism Spectrum.

I want to switch from a center to nannying to be able to focus on just a few kids and build a stronger bond with them than I'd be able to in a center enviorment. I am currently studying early childhood education at Minneapolis College (and passing). My hours will have to work around college, although most of it is online, I have one class at 4:30 p.m Tuesday's and Thursday's. I have worked with kids with behavioral issues but have yet worked with kids with special needs. I also have 2 dogs and have worked at a doggy daycare, so I'm more than comftorable being in a home with dogs. I can't wait to meet and provide for your family!
