A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Mirha, and I have over 6 years of hands-on childcare experience. I’ve worked with children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens, and I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves.

I’m dependable, energetic, and attentive to each child’s unique needs. Whether it's helping with homework, planning creative activities, or simply being a positive and patient presence, I always strive to support both the children and their families. My background in structured childcare settings has also helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities calmly and confidently.

I’m currently looking for a nanny position where I can bring my experience, care, and enthusiasm to a family that values reliability and trust. I’d love to connect and see if I’m the right fit for your little ones!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over the past several years, I’ve gained valuable childcare experience across a variety of settings. At the YMCA, I worked in the ChildWatch program, caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. I supervised play, led fun and age-appropriate activities, and ensured a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children. I also worked with the YMCA Summer Camp, helping manage larger groups of school-aged children through daily activities, outdoor play, creative projects, and team-building exercises.

In addition, I worked at a Montessori preschool where I supported lead teachers in guiding children ages 2 to 6 through structured yet child-led learning. I assisted with classroom routines, encouraged independence, and helped maintain a calm and respectful atmosphere. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for early childhood development and the importance of creating a nurturing space that supports learning through play and exploration.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children in creative, active, and educational activities that support their development and bring out their unique personalities. Some of my favorite things to do with kids include arts and crafts, storytelling, building forts, and imaginative play. I enjoy outdoor activities like going to the park, taking nature walks, and visiting the zoo to encourage curiosity and exploration. I also like organizing simple science experiments, sensory play, and themed activity days that make learning fun. Whether it’s baking together, doing puzzles, reading, or practicing early learning skills like letters and numbers, I strive to create experiences that help children grow in confidence, creativity, and independence—all while having a great time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued, loved, and supported. It’s about more than just supervision, it’s about being a reliable and caring presence who listens, encourages, and understands each child’s unique needs and personality. A great nanny helps children grow not only physically but emotionally and socially, guiding them with patience and kindness.Every smile, every small milestone, every quiet moment of reassurance reminds me why this work means so much to me. Being a nanny is about nurturing a child’s heart and spirit, creating a foundation of security and confidence that will stay with them long after they’ve grown. It’s truly one of the most meaningful and rewarding roles I could ever have.

My experience with special needs children...

I have both personal and professional experience working with children with special needs. One of the most meaningful parts of my journey has been helping care for my nephew, who has down syndrome. Being part of his daily life has taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of meeting each child where they are. I’ve also worked with children on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities. I focus on creating a calm, understanding environment and adapting activities to fit their individual needs. Building trust, celebrating progress, and offering consistent support are always at the heart of my care.
