I love playing video games, coloring, doing fun board games, writing, reading, watching tv, cooking (with parent approval and within age limitations), dancing, and anything music related! Pretty much I love doing everything! I’m a very flexible person and love entertaining the energetic mind with as many tasks as needed!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The work hard play harder motto! I think it is important to teach self-discipline through example. I love to have fun and play games but I make chores, school work, and everyday tasks enjoyable and full of smiles!
My experience with special needs children...
My cousin (16) has autism and is sometimes requires different attention than my other clients typically do. Often times she needs help with personal hygiene, making food, using the restroom, and school work. I try to do my best to remain calm and blunt with her, as that is how she best listens and responds to help. For other special needs children I know the more gentle approach is necessary, so I am always willing to guide as the parents see fit!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When my mom and I babysat a premature baby for his first year or so until he was able to get daycare. We drove around with him - him and I in the backseat- to calm his nerves and I played with his portable carousel and he laughed and smiled so wide! He was always a pleasant baby to look after and seeing him smile always made the job worth it for me!
