A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Miriam and I recently graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B. S. in public health and a minor in statistics. I will be starting my Master's of Public Health at UCLA in September. I am certified in CPR, AED, First Aid, Lifeguard, and I have my own car. I have a clean driving record and I am willing to drive children. I have been a babysitter for 10 years and a full-time nanny for 1 year. I love kids and enjoy teaching them, as well as playing games with them. I know how to use many online distance learning sites and I can also help out with distance learning. I also love to exercise, travel, and cook, and can get kids moving out and about in/out of the house. I have experience working with children ages 6 months to 14 years old.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

as a lifeguard and swim instructor for 6 years. I also worked as an intern for two years at the San Luis Obispo Department of Public Health and taught nutrition education to elementary school children in different schools in San Luis Obispo County.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Reading, swimming, biking, walking, teaching montessori activities, doing science experiments, playing pretend cars or mermaids, playing tennis, baseball, and basketball.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is being kind, responsible, on-time, and having fun with the kids , but also knowing when to be serious to get the kids to do homework, activities, bed, and events on time.

My experience with special needs children...

I have taught special needs children, specifically autistic and mobility challenged children, how to swim.

The most important part about being a nanny...

was when I took a five year old biking on his new bike on the bike trail and he biked 10 miles with me and wanted to keep going! I was so proud of him and he had a great time!

Luz C. - Seeking Work in Los Angeles

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Los Angeles, CA: Luz C.

Hi parents,
My name is Lucy, and I have helped raise 9 beautiful children from birth until they're teens. Most of these children have been family or close friends children but with times as they are I find myself helping more and more parents. In the past I've volunteered at the Midvalley YMCA children development center for ages 2-4. Along with hands on experience I have taken child development courses and earned a caregiver certificate. Although my cpr and first aid need to be updated, I have had lifeguard and cpr training in the past and have even taught swimm lessons.
I have experience with special needs children specifically with autism and ADHD. Lastly I have years of management experience in the food industry and I currently hold a CA managers food handling license so any food or snacks will be safe if my hands!

Bridget C. - Seeking Work in Los Angeles

Part-Time Nanny Available in Los Angeles, CA: Bridget C.

Hi! My name is Bridget, and I recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Communication and a minor in Psychology. I'm currently completing my pre requisites for nursing school, with the hope of becoming a registered nurse in a pediatric unit. I also just received my Certified Nursing Assistant license, and plan to work as a CNA during my spring semester. As of now, I am looking for a babysitting job that works with my class schedule.
I’ve always loved working with kids and naturally gravitate toward caregiving roles. I grew up as a competitive cheerleader and coached kids at my cheer gym, which taught me patience, leadership, and how to create a fun and supportive environment. I also have some babysitting experience, as well as taking care of my 3-year-old nephew.
I would describe myself as dependable, caring, and patient. I enjoy building connections with children, whether through crafts, outdoor activities, or simply being a positive and supportive presence.
