The most important thing I would say is making sure the kids are comfortable and safe and well fed while following the rules that are given by their parents.
My experience with special needs children...
In daycare I would work with kids with special needs. I feel like I really have the patience and understanding when it comes to children with special needs. For example, I had to take care of children who were nonverbal and very active but I have the patience and empathy needed. They would always try running out of daycare or throw tantrums but I would try my best to make them feel comfortable and happy. They ended up being really close with me. I just wanna make sure parents get the peace they need knowing their kids are being taken care of by someone they’re not related to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A cute/funny moment I had with kids in daycare is when they would not want to leave because they had fun being with me so their parents would have to carry them out. Although it could’ve been stressful in the parents because they had places to go but I also felt like that’s a good sign because they enjoyed playing with me and my company.
