A little bit about me

I have been a nanny, teacher, homeschooling , tutoring mom since out of high school. I graduated USF with my Early Childhood degree and certification that I have kept current since. I have worked with many families over the years in various capacities. Beginning as a nanny when still in high school I have utilized my skills to impact lives as needed. My testimony and benefit from my long term commitment is our son has just graduated from high school with his AA from a local college and our daughter has tested in college in the tenth grade to follow in his footsteps. Being my husband is retiring from a thirty year career form the Sheriff's Office we desire to move to Utah as we have traveled to Utah over the last 20 years and desire to call it home. I would be delighted to walk along side of you to guide your children.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have volunteered at our church for many years including the special needs ministry, toddlers and elementary. I teach various classes at our homeschool coop, and I tutor various children in reading.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I throughly enjoy being outdoors! I believe all children need to be off electronics and breathing fresh air. Weather going for a bike ride, walk or just watching the insects, exploring God's creation is most pleasure. Indoor play should include manipulatives, fine motor toys and various figures to enhance a healthy imagination and problem solving skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Walking along side of families to assist the flow and ease of life. Being there for the children when parents find themselves overworked and busy.

My experience with special needs children...

Fresh out of college I taught the EELP program for three years. This included children from the ages of 3-5. I have also been tutoring children with special needs over the last 4 years.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being in the delivery room of the young woman I had once nannied 20 years prior. Being requested to attend a destination wedding of a young man I had babysat for years, when he wed. I have throughly enjoyed remaining connected to the families I have worked with over the years.
