A little bit about me

I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education & child development from Michigan State University. During my time in college I developed a passion for partnering with families and sharing my knowledge and best practices to help their child thrive. I am a very family oriented person, and I love the opportunity to come alongside and use my giftings to support families (because it really does take a village).

I have worked remote corporate jobs for the past six years. Earlier this year, I was laid off. I worked as a nanny for a infant in my neighborhood and it reignited the passion I had for this work in college. But the family only needed me temporarily until their child started daycare.

I visited New York City for the first time earlier this year and fell in love with the city. My lease is up at the end of September, and I feel I have the unique opportunity to do something I love again and live in such a unique place.

I am a very active person who loves to be outdoors. I love to plan developmentally appropriate and safe opportunities for children to work their muscles and explore their senses. If the weather permits, I love to be outside.

I also love to read and am very passionate about starting literacy development early in childhood. I am a frequent visitor to my local library.

At my last nannying job I took care of a 6 month infant. Throughout the course of our time together she slowly started build the strength to start crawling. Day by day she would make progress and become more active. One day I came in and saw that she had started to crawl.
