My experience with special needs children...

I looked after an autistic child who was non-verbal, when I met him at the age of 5 he couldn't pronounce a sound but through perseverance and lots of songs, I saw him achieve the amazing feat of singing a small part of a Disney song. I've never been as proud of anyone as I was of this little boy.
