More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat my 2 special needs nephews (10 and 6 yrs old), since i can remember. I nannied for my sister-in-law for a couple summers and took care of my 2 neices (9yrs and 11 months old). I have babysat and nannied for multiple families on multiple occasions!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I can accommodate to any activities! I love working with kids on their abc’s, numbers, colors, etc. Always up for a dance battle, or some fun arts and crafts. I am an active person and have no problem running around and being energetic with the kiddos. Whether it be some fun dance moves in the living room or playing TAG in the backyard. I’m always open to trying new things if a parent suggests an activity I haven’t done!

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my personal opinion the most important things about nannying are responsibility, respect, and enthusiasm. Being someone who is brought into a home to help, I always want to be responsible and respectful of the parents wishes and boundaries, as well as enthusiastic with the kiddos in times where moms and dads just need a break from the chaos. I am here to help! NOT make things more stressful, which also means being patient and understanding of both parents and kids is very important too.

My experience with special needs children...

Both of my nephews (10 and 6yrs old) are special needs. They are both on the Autism/ Asperger‘s spectrum, as well as some anger management issues. I have also participated in the Best Buddies program all throughout middle and high school since my older sister was the president of the program when she was in highschool. No issues working with special needs children as long as the parents communication about triggers, tics, and calming habits is clear!
