Providing a trusting and loving relationship with the child/children so they know that I am there to help and care for them. I don't want them to ever be afraid to tell me anything or to ask for help. I want them to know that I am always there for them no matter what.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a little experience, my nephew has fetal alcohol syndrome so he struggles with some things involving learning, but otherwise my experience is small. I am willing and open to learning.
