Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have babysat children of professional opera singers ranging from 6 months to 11 years old every summer for the past six years. The experience I listed prior to that was referring to babysitting family friends or my infant cousins. I wasn't able to babysit during the school year because I went to a boarding school for high school, but I babysat in 2025 while I was in college in NYC.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy crafting, baking, playing games (ex: puzzles, legos, dolls, make believe), going to local playgrounds, the library, and going on walks!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most memorable moments while babysitting was when I was taking care of a 6 month old who was having trouble being separated from his mom for long periods of time. After a few missed naps, I realized I needed to come up with a solution in order to get him to rest without waking up every 15 minutes. So, I would take his mothers robe and lay it over my shoulder while rocking him so that he was smelling her familiar, comforting scent. It would put him right to sleep!
