The most important part about being a nanny...
My method of care is child centered, which means that my main priority is the physical, emotional, and social development of the child. While I do offer light house cleaning and meal prep, I want to make sure that the child I care for is well attended to and not just "watched". I believe nannying is a focus on exploring the world and guiding children into becoming independent movers and thinkers- with the help of a strong foundation!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who have ADD (ages 6 and up) and have experience working with speech delay.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Seeing my littles (pair of twins age two) sit down and "talk about" why they were feeling sad. I had implemented this earlier and seeing them do it on their own made me SO proud! Runner up would be my always-hungry little saying "that's good stuff!" every day at the table :)
