As someone who has always enjoyed working with kids, I feel as though a job working with children is ideal for me. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to help young kids grow and learn. I loved it so much that after I left my elementary school I would go back regularly to spend time with students ages 5-10 and help them become more proficient in school. I would do anything from grading papers, to helping them hands on with math or other various subjects, to planting thing in the school gardens with them, and spending time with them during their recesses. I would have to say, watching my Mom work with kids as a preschool teacher/assistant for most of my life surely has sparked my desire to teach kids and also provide a safe, fun environment for them. I also have experience taking care of a 10-month-old for a while up until her family moved out of state.
