I also babysat my neighbors children in Germany several times, they had a 10 month old, a 5 year old and an 8 year old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing outside or inside the house, going to parks or the library, taking walks/bike rides on the trail. I also strongly support reading books and playing with play-doh, building blocks or other toys to develop gross motor functions. And I love playing pretend games to help strengthen the children's imagination!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me it matters most to provide the child and parents a safe environment, to have fun with them but also teach the kid(s) how to be gentle and kind toward others.

My experience with special needs children...

For almost two years now I have been working with a preschooler/kinder gardener who has a speech delay and high functional autism. I have been practicing his speech with him outside of his speech therapy, using the given homework words/phrases. Due to working with him I am very well trained to dealing with tantrums and other big feelings.
