Hi! My name is Niah Irvin and I am a senior at Anderson High School. I am responsible,
energetic, kind, independent, caring, goal-oriented, ambitious, and hardworking. I am creative, and I enjoy anything “DIY”. I am open minded and interested in listening to and learning from others’ perspectives, as well as sharing my own. I also enjoy the outdoors and love taking nature walks. I value education and always take advantage of opportunities such as college readiness programs and dual credit courses. I enjoy teaching little ones the basics of education and coming up with fun ways to do it. I love helping others and often volunteer at my church. I usually spend my summers babysitting 3-5 children at a time ranging from the age of 5 months-10 yrs old. This includes waking the children up &
getting them ready for the day, engaging in safe & entertaining activities,
cooking the kiddos 2-3 healthy & homecooked meals, getting them ready for bed & leaving the home cleaner than I found it.

Hi! My name is Niah. I have experience caring for children of all ages and creating a safe, fun, and calm environment for them. I’ve been babysitting my siblings, cousins, and family friends’ children since I was 12 years old, and I’ve worked with infants, multiple children at once, and children with special needs such as autism.

I’m currently a college student at Austin Community College, majoring in Business and Psychology, with the hope of becoming a child therapist or an early intervention occupational therapist

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids engaged with activities that help them learn, grow, and have fun. With younger children, I enjoy hands-on play like Montessori-inspired activities, sensory play, and simple life skills such as helping tidy up or learning to pour and organize. We also do lots of arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading time, and music or dancing to keep things fun and creative.

With older children, I like to make our time together both meaningful and motivating. We might make vision boards, listen to short sermons or motivational talks, or journal about goals and feelings. I enjoy helping them with homework, teaching organization skills, or having real conversations that teach effective communication and build emotional awareness, intelligence and confidence. Whether we’re outside playing a game, doing a DIY project, or winding down with a good book or movie, I always aim to create a space that’s calm, safe, and full of encouragement.
