More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy planning a variety of fun and engaging activities for children, depending on their age and interests. Some of my favorite things to do include arts and crafts, building with blocks or Legos, and reading stories together. I also love spending time outside—going to the park, playing with sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, or going on little nature walks and scavenger hunts. Indoors, I like playing board games, doing puzzles, having dance parties, or creating blanket forts for imaginative play. I’m also happy to help with simple baking projects, quiet reading time, or calming activities like listening to music. My goal is to keep kids entertained, learning, and feeling happy and safe throughout the day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, trusting, and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and feel truly cared for. It's not just about watching over them, it's about building a real connection, understanding their individual needs, and supporting their emotional, social, and developmental growth. Being dependable, respectful of the family's values, and communicating clearly with parents are just as important. At the end of the day, it’s about being someone both the child and the parents can count on.
My experience with special needs children...
I currently live with a family member who is autistic and has the mind of a child, which has given me a lot of everyday experience in understanding and supporting someone with special needs. Through this, I’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, and clear communication. I’m familiar with creating a calm and structured environment, helping with daily routines, and being attentive to sensory needs or emotional cues. While I’m not formally trained, my personal experience has taught me how to be supportive, compassionate, and adaptable when caring for someone who needs a little extra attention and understanding.
