Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a homecare provider for Families First for over 10 years. I was their live in support and took care of a disabled gentleman who was non verbal and a disabled teenager with lots of trauma and behavioral challenges.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
We could play games and bake! Go on hikes and adventures! Read stories and watch movies! Play music and make our own songs! All the arts and crafts you could think of! We could talk about anything and spend time learning about everything! Go to the river or the lake! The possibilities are endless! What ever your kiddo is interested in doing, as a nanny it’s my job to nurture all the creative outlets they might have and introduce them to new ones!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is nurturing the creative mind and soul of everyone. Having fun and knowing that that most of the difficult situations require love, empathy, patience and understanding. Many times challenging moments are a result of not knowing and should be moments and opportunities to learn and grow. Providing a safe, non judgmental, safe and structured place to do that it’s important.

I have 10 plus years working with disabled adults and children! I have great patience and understanding for difficulties someone may have.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly all of them. The happy times and the sad times. Everything we experience in life is a chance to grow. I will say, my favorite thing in the nannyverse is the handmade cards, the cute drawings of the fun they had during an adventure! Being able to watch someone grow into who they want to be is its own special magic!
