More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been working as a preschool teacher most recently. Before that, I was an Au Pair and before that, a toddler teacher. I have Montessori infant/toddler certification as well as training in Montessori Casa (preschool). I’ve been working in childcare in a formal setting since the beginning of 2020, but my experience started before that with babysitting and nanny positions.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Puzzles, reading books, crafts and art, getting messy and cleaning up! I love being outdoors with kids, letting them explore and nurturing their curiosity. I love baking and getting kids involved in preparing meals.
My experience with special needs children...
My previous position at the Montessori school was specifically as a support role for children with special needs. Mainly what I see is Autism and different sensory needs as well as ADHD, dyslexia and other similar needs. My mom was a special education teacher, so I grew up in an environment that was very open to children with special needs and I have spent a lot of time learning how to teach, care for and interact with children with special needs.
