A little bit about me

I’ve been around kids my whole life, baby sat often in my teen years, more recently I stayed with some family friends daughters while they were on vacation. I made them dinners, we sung kaoroke & it made me miss being around that kind of joy. My 10 years in the restaurant industry taught me a lot about cultivating relationships w/ kids. I had to learn how to ease their nerves as they practiced ordering for themselves, it instilled in me the importance of patience & grace while communicating w/ a developing brain! While my experience in care giving has mainly been based on need from people in my community, I don’t take looking after children lightly! I know how crucial it is for kids to feel comfortable around the adults in their life. I think it’s extremely important for kids to experience safe, meaningful, & light-hearted relationships with their older peers in order to understand what is healthy vs what’s not! Safety, respect, boundaries and trust are my main priorities!
