A little bit about me

I have been working with children as an early childhood education teacher for 8 years. My background is primarily Waldorf and Reggio styles of teaching. I am a strong advocate of getting children outside and off screens. I have run several nature based camps in Maine. I am a mother to an amazing 9 year old and our lab rescue. I love creative expression and often weave art and movement into play. I believe in children getting dirty, picking up bugs and dancing in the rain. I have worked with many special needs children and hope to specialize in special needs in the future. I am currently on track for my degree in Special Education through USM.

Before teaching I was a private chef in the Hamptons. My focus was on local healthy dishes. Farm to table inviting the whole family to cook with me.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been an Early Education teacher for 7 years. Certified in Waldorf education, Reggio inspired and has run farm camps and nature based camps over the Summers. I have traveled as a nanny and taught cooking, farm education and yoga to children 2-7 years old.

Outdoors- catching frogs, swimming, tide pool exploring, collecting flowers, star gazing, puddle splashing, mud play

Indoors- making play dough, art, sensory activities, building forts, the floor is lava, dance parties, cooking, open ended tray set ups, hide and seek
