A little bit about me

My name is Nicole. I’m a mother to a beautiful seven year old girl, and am a full time student online focusing on environmental science and soil science as it relates to food production, agronomy.
I am looking for a part time position that will allow me to care for my daughter before and after school as well. I can travel to Covington as long as hours work for all of us, and am open to having children in my home if need be. My hourly rate is $16 unless there are additional costs (special as l outings, or if I’m supplying meals at my home) I am flexible on hours and days, but will need a weeks notice for any special requests.
I love spending time outdoors and don’t care for setting kiddos in front of the tv for extended periods of time. I prefer to engage in board games and crafts to keep kids active in the home. Our house is full of books and creative toys, and I love working with kids to find new and exciting ways to encourage growth and learning.

I’m a mother myself, which I’d argue is excellent experience. I’m her primary caretaker and have of course taken care of children in group settings.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coming up with fun crafts and games indoors, and really enjoy time outdoors doing anything from digging in the dirt to rolling down a grassy hill. I grew up with an in home daycare in my house and was constantly introduced to new fun activities. You can do a lot with a bowl of corn starch and water. It’s science and fun. Ever painted on a mirror or window outside with shaving cream? How about cool whip pie fights on the last day of school or for a birthday surprise. I love seeing kids get excited about new things.
