The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is the safety of the kid(s). I want them to feel like they can trust me and look to me as a role model. Also, fun is definitely a given! If the kid(s) aren’t laughing by the end of the day, then I did my job wrong! Respect, understanding, attention to detail, and love are also very important.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have any direct experience, but I do have personal experiences with some kids with Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, Autism, Tourette’s, etc…
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite memory is the look on the parent’s faces when they came home and found their 2 little boys in a relaxed/calm mood (they were expecting them to be bouncing off of the walls)!
