As a previous nanny to three children currently aged 2, 5, and 7, including one child with autism, I have a wealth of experience in providing care and support for young children. My background in psychology, with an emphasis in early childhood development, from my home country of El Salvador, has also provided me with a strong understanding of the unique needs and development of young children. I am dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children in my care, and I am passionate about supporting their growth and development in every way possible.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
take pleasure in engaging in fun and interactive activities with the children, such as painting, various arts and crafts, games, reading and counting exercises. These activities not only entertain children but also support their cognitive, emotional and creative development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Ensuring the safety of the child in my care is of the utmost importance as a nanny. This can range from simple tasks like remembering and accommodating a child's nut allergy to taking necessary precautions and implementing safety measures to protect the child at all times. It's my top priority to ensure the well-being and safety of the child in my care.
My experience with special needs children...
have experience caring for a child with severe autism who faced significant communication challenges. Through this experience, I have learned to adapt and work with what is effective for the child. Additionally, during my Bachelor's program, I studied extensively about autism, which has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the condition and how best to support children with special needs.
